Fiat India future plan

Fiat is planning to launch new car models in India. Its plans to launch Fiat Punto, Bravo and 500 are already rolling.
Fiat plans low-cost car for India by 2012
Mumbai: Italian automaker Fiat is working towards producing a low-cost car for India which could debut by 2012.
The Chief Operating Officer, Fiat Group Automobiles International, Silverio Bonfiglioli, told Business Line that this product would ideally be “at the bottom of the B segment.” This segment includes the Santro, Indica and Alto.

Grande punto for India
Designed by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, the Grande Punto is an attractive and spacious car. Punto in India is expected to be priced between 4.5 – 6lakhs to take on getz, swift and Fabia.Fiat claim the interior represents the epitome of Italian style it means being able to get in and out of the car easily and comfortably, and once you are sitting down, it means being surrounded by an airy environment, enjoying its generous space and greater visibility.



Fiat Bravo
Aggressive hot hatch, Fiat Bravo is powered by a 150 bhp 1.9 Multijet diesel unit. Bravo will be sold in India as a CBU, which makes it an exclusivity for people with deep pockets. Price is expected to be around 20 lakhs.
